Evaluation & Monitoring Manager

Food Recovery Network is seeking an Evaluation Manager to bring FRN to the next level of ability within our evaluation, monitoring, metrics and data collection. The ultimate aim of FRN is to support higher education in being the first sector where food recovery is the norm and not the exception. Our data drives our storytelling that students across the country are changing the dialogue from food waste to food recovery.


Fellowship Opportunities

Resource Development & Support Fellow

Food Recovery Network is seeking a motivated person dedicated to continuous learning to join our National team for a two-year Fellowship. In Fall 2018, FRN launched its first ever Student Portal — with modules for training, data sharing, connecting with other members of the network, and more. The fellow will lead the advanced development of FRN’s Student Portal.

Americorps Vista Opportunities

Communications and Engagement Americorps VISTA

The Communications and Engagement VISTA will encourage stakeholders and volunteers to contribute to FRN's content, expand our social media presence, and implement communication plans for national events. Working alongside FRN’s Communications Team and FRN’s PR firm, Mixte Media, the VISTA will raise FRN's profile as a leading voice in the food recovery movement.

Communications Specialist Americorps VISTA

The Communications Specialist VISTA will capture FRN’s celebratory moments through written content such as newsletters and press releases and ensure FRN’s website captures program successes. The VISTA will work with FRN’s Communications Team and FRN’s PR firm, Mixte Media to intentionally communicate our voice to a growing number of stakeholders consistently in a way that helps us stay relevant, adhere to a diverse audience, and contribute to the ever-changing landscape that is our food system.

Food Recovery Verified Americorps VISTA

The FRV VISTA will support FRN’s work outside of higher education to identify new areas for program growth, development, and sustainability by: strengthening our current partnerships through increased communication, identifying new clients through targeted outreach, support these clients in establishing food recovery programs, and developing resources to support a growing program.

Program Support Americorps VISTA

Program Support VISTA will work to improve volunteer engagement. They will research best practices for volunteer management and recruitment and use this knowledge to develop tools for FRN chapters. After implementing the tools, the VISTA will analyze the impact of each and gather data to refine the tools.The VISTA will be a critical addition to the FRN team, supporting sustainable network growth and identifying effective strategies for recruitment and retention that FRN can continue to implement.

Resource Development Americorps VISTA

The Resource Development VISTA will lead content development and drive progress in the food recovery movement by improving the accessibility of current resources and developing new tools to support our student-led chapters through the FRN Portal. Additionally, the VISTA will work with FRN National to promote the use of these resources and gather feedback to inform future content development.

Internships

Food Recovery Verified Fall Intern

This person will work closely with the Manager of External Partnerships and the FRV fellows to support with the expansion and improvement of the FRV program through research and outreach efforts. This position offers opportunities for skill development in project planning, implementation, and collaboration. The internship will also increase your technical understanding of hunger, food waste, and logistics of food recovery. This position requires 10 hours of work per week and does have the opportunity to work remotely. It is a paid internship.
