Food Recovery network turns 5
2016 is an exciting year for Food Recovery Network. This September, our organization turned five years old. That means we're celebrating five years of donating perfectly good surplus food to people who need it most.
We're celebrating five years of feeding people, not landfills.
In five short years, FRN has grown to 206 chapters across the country, has expanded to 44 states, and has recovered more than 1.8 million pounds of food (and counting!).
We want you to celebrate with us! Use #FRN5Years to share your FRN experiences. We'll be updating this page regularly with #FRN5Years content, so be sure to check back to see how the network is celebrating.
Throughout the spring semester, we'll be highlighting relationships between chapters, dining providers and nonprofit partners which have laid the foundation for the work that we do all over the country.
- Goucher College, PLASE and Bon Appetit.
- University of Denver, Sodexo and Denver Rescue Mission.
