Below, you’ll find a number of helpful tools and resources designed for FRN student leaders to solidify their official chapter status, track recoveries, and expand their team’s capacity.

The Student Portal is constantly being updated with new and previously existing resources. Have a suggestion for an addition to the Portal? Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or your FRN point of contact.

We're coordinating our 3rd FRNdzy fundraiser! Between February 15th and April 15th, chapters across the country will be fundraising to help us reach our goal of $5,000. As our network grows, we continually need to buy resources so that hungry Americans can access potentially wasted food. We’re working every day to bring food recovery to new communities. Without this money, new chapters can't buy pans, can't execute recoveries, can't feed hungry people.
This is our biggest chapter-focused fundraising initiative, and your chapter gets to keep half of the money it raises! You can use your #FRNdzy2017 funds however you’d like — to host an event with your partner agency, to travel to our national conference (the National Food Recovery Dialogue) to have a thank-you event or give your volunteers FRN swag. The other half of the money will be used to supply materials to new chapters. We can’t do our work without your support.
If you and your team are interested in fundraising, you should get together and submit your plan here: 2017 #FRNdzy Chapter Sign-Up. We’ll be accepting submissions until March 31st.
You can support the 3rd #FRNdzy fundraiser by shopping online with brands like Nike, Express, Apple, Starbucks, Greek Gear and over 100 others. Learn how your online shopping can go even further, Campus Causes FAQ.
You can make a donation on our Catalogue for Philanthropy page here.
Based on the Fall 2016 survey of over 200 FRN Student Leaders, 90% of students responded that they would be interested in the creation of a student board that would help to support students and act as a voice for student leaders in the movement. We heard you and now we're calling for applications!
Student Board Description & Responsibilities:
The Student Board will be comprised of 5-9 members. To be eligible to run for the Student Board, you must have been involved with FRN for at least one semester. You must be either a current student or have graduated within the past 12 months. Terms on the student board are one year, but you are eligible for re-election for up to two subsequent terms. Seniors have the potential to stay on the Board (and even encouraged) past their graduation year.

help our communication plan
This semester, we are excited to be working with a Georgetown University Master's student in the Public Relations and Corporate Communications program on the development of a strategic communications plan. As part of that effort, she would like to learn more about what FRNds think about their experience with FRN. Please take this brief survey by Friday, April 7, 2017 to help us improve our communications efforts moving forward. Thank you!
