For 15 years, students across the U.S. have shown up for their communities, part of a collective spirit to help end hunger and food waste. Your support helps Food Recovery Network continue to save perfectly good food to feed people who need it most.
“As someone who donates to FRN, I’d advise you to give - I’m grateful my donation has a tangible impact in supporting our next generation as they increase food access for struggling families in local communities across the US. ”
DAF Day is a national day of giving with donor-advised funds. A DAF is a charitable savings account (like a 401k for giving). It’s a powerful tool for any donor to accelerate their giving. You can help Food Recovery Network by making DAF Day 2026 a powerful show of strength through generosity.
DAF Day is October 8
Donor-advised fund (DAF) giving is simple. Contact your financial institution or charitable sponsors and recommend a DAF grant using Food Recovery Network’s EIN #45-3836775

Please note: If you would like to donate to a specific FRN Chapter, you may do so by adding the school name in the designated field under “Additional Information” on our donation form.
FRN National provides all chapters with access to the funds that have been donated, which may be used to support their activities. Funds held for chapters that are no longer active will be redistributed to the nonprofit partner that formerly received surplus food donations from that chapter. In the case the partner agency is no longer operational, funds will be redirected to support additional student chapters within the FRN Network.
Food Recovery Network is proud to be a verified nonprofit member of Spur Local (formerly Catalogue for Philanthropy). Each featured charity has been successfully site-visited and its financials given the thumbs up.
